General Forum Rules

As a member of AU, we don't expect you to join in absolutely everything. However, if you make no posts or do not log into your account for over 6 months, you will be given 1 month's warning before it is deleted.
If you are going to be away for 6 months or longer, please pm a moderator to avoid deletion.

AU IS PG13.

This also means that we are not allowing under any persons under 13 to join.
If we find out that you are under 13, you will be banned.

No graphic sex/violence/abuse (drug or otherwise/etc).
This includes EVERYTHING explicit.
We ask that any romantic -45cm/60cm+ couplings are not posted here. Though you may claim your MSD or Tiny is 'of age', the general perception is that they are not. As such AU can get in trouble for even the perception that we allow 'child pornography.' We hope you understand.


Other general rules to take note of are:

- Be nice! Debate is allowed but take care of being nasty, starting flame wars, snarky attitudes, etc. All in all, if you can't say anything constructive, don't say anything at all. Bear in mind that tone is interpreted differently over the internet!
Posts considered nasty, snarky, overly hostile, etc will be deleted without warning.
This includes making negative comments about other forums. We don't want any inter-forum drama!

- Ask questions! Whether you ask in the FAQ, ask another member or pm a mod, we don't bite and are willing to help everyone out! We all start as newbies to the hobby

- Please do not swear excessively

- Please speak English. Net speak (or text speak) is definitely not allowed and can invoke all mighty hell upon repeat offenders.

- Try to spell and use grammar correctly. AU is not exclusively native English speakers. Misspelt and badly structured sentences make translation for these members much tougher.
If you suffer from any problems like dyslexia or such like, please let the moderating team know! Of course we will not punish you for your mistakes if you have good enough reason! Members of the moderating team are dyslexic too!

- Please Do not role-play in the forum. There are other forums that allow this.

- Do not post in threads that have been inactive for over 3 months. This is called necroing a thread and is against the rules on most forums. It just keeps things tidy!

- Only post links to things that are publicly available. For example, posting a link to a blog you can only read by joining the website is not allowed. Posting a link to one that you don't have to join to see is allowed.

- Posting pictures is perfectly fine. We do however ask that you take note that you can fit 20 photos in a single post! Posting 20 photos in separate posts will result in the deletion of the posts.


- Signature and Avatars must conform to these sizes:
Please keep Avatar sizes to no larger than 100X100 pixels.

Example:

Signature banners should be no larger than Width: 270 X 100 height pixels at the largest.

Example:

Offending images will be removed without warning but a pm will be sent out to notify the member.

- AU plays host to organizing many a meet-up. We ask that you remain sensible and do not post your address, telephone or any other personal details on the public forum. If a member you trust needs these details send it via pm.






Marketplace

- The Marketplace has its own set of rules, available to view in that section of the forum. Please read them before posting.

- Marketplace access is only granted after 25 posts. This stops people joining solely to sell and also dis-encourages scammers. Don't spam 25 times for marketplace access! Any spam will be deleted without warning and a warning pm sent.

- The marketplace is strictly doll related items only.

- All threads must contain something. No placeholders.

- The admin and moderating team hold no responsibility for any transactions (that don't involve us) in the marketplace.

Flashing Selling, Advertising and Spam:

Selling:
Angel-Unlimited is not just a marketplace solely for selling your items. It is a community forum first and foremost.

The small marketplace we do have has its own set of rules. Please read them and regard them in every thread and post within the marketplace.
Do not spam the rest of the forum with your items. One post in the marketplace is enough.

Violators of marketplace rules will be warned. Repetitive violations will lead to a forum ban.

Advertising:
AU considers advertising of your own company/shop/event/forum/etc as spamming links in irrelevant threads, starting news room threads, excessive 'recommendation' to other members.

Any members solely using AU as an advertising platform (aka company accounts) will be banned without warning.

These posts will be deleted without warning and a warning PM sent. Repeat offenders will be banned!

You can however ask a moderator to add a link to your company/shop/forum in the appropriate FAQ links section. Please do so by PM!
You can also have a small banner in your signature that conforms ENTIRELY to signature image rules.

If any member is unsure if what they wish to spread the news about is classed as advertising, please PM a moderator.

Offenders will be asked to cease advertising.
Repeat offenders or members joining solely to advertise will be banned without warning.

Multiple/Shared user accounts:
Members are asked to keep only one account on AU.

If a member wants to change anything about their account, please contact a moderator rather than creating a new account.

Any new account created will be deleted without warning.

Shared accounts (an account/membership shared between two or more people) are absolutely banned. Any shared accounts will be deleted without warning.


NO CHAT ZONES:
There are areas within the forum where we discourage and even outright ban chatting.

These are:
The FAQ threads - Just don't chat here. If you cannot answer the question, do not post!

The profile threads (Whose who threads) - Strictly no chat. We will just delete the chat posts. This includes comments like "I love your doll."


Off topic dolls:
We don't have any off topic dolls here, we just ask that you keep discussion of other dolls to their respective place.

Any 1/6th size dolls such as obitsus, dollfies, unoa-light, etc go into the Small Angels area.

(This does not include pullips despite being 1/6th size except from their head)
Any other dolls like Pullip, Blythe, Barbie, etc go in the Other Angels area.

It is worth mentioning that dolls such as Hujoo that are strung, ball jointed and cast in resin are counted as BJD.
Therefore these dolls do not need to be put in the Other Angels section.

All discussion, announcements and photos go in these areas.
